I was logging into a webpage the other day and I accidentally clicked Go before I had finished entering the user name. Now whenever I start typing in the user name, Firefox brings up two entries in the dropdown box, the partial one and the full one. How can I delete just the partial one?

Shift-delete will removed the selected entry from the list.

Edit1: On Windows at least :p Borrowed my PB to a friend so can't check if it's the same in OS X.

Edit2: Try ctrl-delete on Mac.

Thanks, I think I'll try these out. I was always wondering how to remove the long list of erroneous logins and passwords.

EDIT: Yep, its Shift-Delete when you select the entry from the dropdown. Thank, again, dubbz!
