deleting apps but icon remains on dock? (firefox/utorrent)

Hey everybody, i just deleted utorrent and firefox by using appcleaner, but soon after i realized after looking down at my dock, that the firefox and utorrent icons were still there.....any thoughts?

Drag them away from the Dock and *puff* they're gone.

The dock is just holding shortcuts to the applications. Hence, they will remain there after removing/ deleting any application. Since the shortcut can't see the original application anymore, you might just see a question mark eventually. In any case, proceed as mentioned above.
