I have several messages from contacts that I would like to keep, whereas I am happy to delete some of the less important messages from the same people. Is there a way to do this? All i can see is either clear the conversation or delete all the messages. Please help!

that simpe task that a free phone can do can't be one on the iphone. keep em all or erase them all, that's what Steve must do. the iPhone is a retarded genius.

That is something that they need to look at. Forget about push, turn by turn etc.

Come on apple, sort out the simple things....

It can be done...

If you have a Mac, you may use PhoneView. It's a very impressive software that does plenty of things on the iPhone, including deletion of individual sms and Call Log entries.

It's not free, and you need to plug your phone to your Mac every time you want to delete anything.
