Deleting folders

How on earth do I delete a folder on windows 7 with my mac WITHOUT doing right click + delete?? When I try 'delete' , 'delete + control' , or 'delete + command' it does not work. When I press only delete, it just goes back to what I previously visiting.

I'm not sure how to do it without right clicking (not very helpful, I know) but I'm wondering: why do you need to? You can access the right click menu with Ctrl+click, if memory serves.

Should be FN+Delete.
