Deleting movie thumbnails from toolbar

I downloaded nine very short video clips taken with a quadcopter, to check them for quality. When I deleted the videos, nine thumbnails had appeared on the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. If i click on then, it opens up that video clip. I have been unable to delete/remove the thumbnails that are cluttering my toolbar. Can someone help me please. This is my first post on the forum so I am optimistic.http://cdn.macrumors.com/vb/images/icons/icon5.gif
