deleting photos in iphoto events

noob here if i delete a photo in EVENTS in iphoto 08 will it delete the same photo in the photo library itself????? i deleted an EVENT folder and now i cant fonid the individual pic that were in that EVENT folder

Yes. An Event is basically a folder. It's not like a smart quire or an album. The picture in the Event is the picture. You delete that and the picture is gone. If you delete the picture from an album, then the picture is just removed from the album, slideshow, etc, it's still in the event it originally came from. As far as your deleted pics go, can you get it out of the trash if you haven't emptied it. Or you can get it back from Time Machine if you have it enabled and it was backed up.
