I am new to Mac, and am trying to figure out iPhoto. I've noticed that deleting a picture from iPhoto does not delete it from my computer. Is there a way to sync it so that I don't have to delete a picture from iPhoto and then have to go in to My Pictures and delete it again????

Also, sometimes I need to resize a picture and I haven't figured out how to do it on iPhoto.

Thanks,

Duh! I hadn't even noticed the trash can there! thanks so much, that does the trick!!! :D

Any ideas on how to resize pics?

Go to Share, Export... and choose File Export and choose where to save the resized photos. (You can highlight more than one at a time by holding Command as you click.) There shouldn't be a need to resize the photos in iPhoto itself, it wants to keep a full resolution photo. Relax and let iPhoto take care of your library. There no need to go poking around in the folder structure. Its not Windows.
