Deleting podcast episodes

Can anyone tell me how to delete individual episodes within Podcasts? These files dont respond to the swipe to delete like most everything else.
I downloaded a podcast with 30-some episodes and about 1/3 of them were duplicates that I dont need or want. I dont want to delete the entire podcast, just a few individual episodes. Is this possible?
BTW, these episodes are located in the Ipod>More>Podasts>Podcast menu, not the Video menu where I AM able to delete.
