I use iTunes Match on my iPod touch and download the songs I want onto the device so I can listen to them at work, where there isn't any WiFi.
I also use Spotify to in the same way, for albums I want to listen to before I commit to buy them.
This morning, I was downloading a new album with Spotify when it stopped and popped up the message, "This device is full, delete some other stuff before you can download this playlist"
I go to Usage and see I currently have about 4GB of iTunes Match music downloaded to the phone, which is fine. I go to the music app and try to delete some albums, but there is no way to do it.
I understand the whole iTunes Match on iOS6 is about not thinking about it, and it will manage itself by deleting your least played music itself eventually.
But how do we as users instigate that?
In settings I know I can delete all 4GB of music in one click, but thats not really a solution is it?
