Hello
Is there a way to delete/empty a specific folder with in time machine ?
I have a new imac inbound which i want to clone with exsiting backup stored on timemachine, but there is one folder that is huge, over 1 terra on the backup i would like to empty so cloning the rest goes faster.
Its easy to backup that folder onto a extrernal harddrive, but deleting the folder seems to be harder.
I get a message saying deleting backup folder items is not permited.
is there a workaround i guess im asking :)

thanks
I added a pic to show what i mean.

You can go to time machine preferences and add the folder to the ignored folder list. I believe this will also remove the folder from All of your backups.
