I have tried repeatedly to delete video from an event and have failed.

iMovie 08 7.1.4 I marked a clip as rejected, chose edit- and Move rejected clip to trash is greyed out. Restarted iMac and reopened iMovie. Same problem.

I have used iMovie alot so I don't think it is pilot error or a picnic (problem in chair not in computer )

Go to the Event folder in your H/Drive and find the clip and then delete.
Also empty your Trash first before putting any video clips in.
Also put your video clip into the Trash, then open Trash and see your clip and then ask to delete the clip.

delete video

Thanks Daybreak. I am confident that it can be done in the event window, but it does not work as the help menu suggests. Perhaps iMovie is corrupted?

Are you working from a external H/Drive?. Can you pull the video file out from the event and put it on your dock?
You could have a corrupt video file. Which will make iMovie crash.
Do a test. Bring a new clip in and see if you can trash it.

Video is on an internal hard drive and iMovie does not crash.

This is on my clients computer, that I am training, so checking all the details is a challenge.
