I was traveling and using lots of remote WiFi sites at various retail locations.
How do I delete those from the drop down list that appears when I click on the WiFi symbol either in Finder or Firefox.
Thanks all.

System Preferences-->Network-->Make sure Wi-Fi is highlighted in the left hand side menu-->Advanced-->Highlight network and click on the Minus sign.

Not sure if this is what you are asking for or not as I use Safari rather than Firefox, but is this what you are trying to do?

Click on the Airport/WiFi icon
Go to Open Network Preferences
Click on Advanced...
With the Airport button highlighted, select the SSID you want to delete and click on the minus sign ("-")

That should remove the unwanted WiFi names.

Don't forget to disable WiFi before removing network names, then click apply, and enable WiFi again. If you don't disable WiFi before, they sometimes reappear again. I had this issue with SL and Lion. Not sure about ML...
