Hey
Im trying to delete a file on my mac which I can't find in Finder. The instructions says to:

delete ~/Library/Preferences/......etc....../file.ext
and
Delete /Applications/......etc...../file.ext

So I cant find the 'delete ~/Library/....' part, but was able to find the 'Delete /Applications/...' part.

I tried running 'delete ~/Library/....etc...../file.ext' in terminal and it didn't recognize it.

So what am I missing here?

The top directory will be your user directory.

/users/username/library/

Most if not all application details (such as serial confirmation, layout, settings) are stored in the user library for obvious reasons.
