Has anyone had any experience with specific companies that deliver flowers internationally? The US based companies I've looked at are much more expensive than local companies. Specifically I'm looking to send some flowers to friends studying in the UK this year for the holiday season. An actual gift would add to the bulk they'll be lugging home at the end of the year and shipping would eat up a lot of cost as well. Anyone of you across the pond have any experiences with any online flower delivery shop?

Can't you call a local flower shop in the UK and tell them to deliver the flowers..you could in turn pay the shipping, and the payment with your credit card. Plus it'll be a lot cheaper to pay that way, than to pay shipping to UK.
