I'm a pretty rational person. But if I spent as much money as I just did on the Apple Watch as soon as it launched, and then they released a second generation this fall... I would be livid. And would probably lose an exceptional amount of respect for Apple.
 
Hey, Apple has to get the gold from somewhere. It's not easy to get it in the quantity they need it. Must be begging from Shanghai Gold Exchange. :p

considering the expense, they probably wanted to get the orders in first before making them. Imagine if they had stock piles of these watches that never gets sold.
