I just checked my UPS status, and yesterday it was delivers by end of day. Now it says by 10:30 AM... Is this true or is it an error? When I called UPS yesterday he said all iPhone orders are dilvered by end of day...

Your UPS man must have had a better night with his wife so he changed his mind and decided to deliver your phone in the AM.... Be happy!

Unknown. The service Apple uses, UPS Worldwide Express, is supposed to deliver by 10:30 AM but I'm guessing by the amount of iPhone to be delivered on Friday that probably won't happen.

Mine used to say By End Of Day and now it says nothing other than 9/21.

Mine has always said : Scheduled Delivery:
Friday, 09/21/2012, by 3:00 P.M.(by end of day for residential deliveries)

Business address? Most likely. I have mine sent to my work and the UPS guy always show up around 11 AM.

While the residential address... well, yeah, could be end of the day.

For the last four years in a row, FedEx has delivered mine on launch day within 10 minutes of the prior year.

It's absolutely amazing. 9:40am to 9:50am and I'm off to work with my new iPhone :)

Same for me..."end of day" dropped leaving just 9/21.

Ordered through Apple at around 12:31 AM PST

Up until today, it said it would deliver on 9/21 by the end of the day, but now it simply says it will deliver on 9/21.

Mine originally just said Friday. At some point it updated to add "by end of day", yesterday it changed back to simply say "Friday" and this AM it changed to "by 10:30am". May be it means nothing or maybe it means they're changing it based on current load and expectations of how they'll be breaking out the workload on release day. Yes, that's possible. I had always blown these release days as "yeah right, UPS & FedEx eat shipments like this for breakfast", but last year my UPS driver (good guy, we order lots from Amazon and see him often) said that they needed to add drivers on in most larger areas just to cover the iPhone release. Still boggles my mind a bit.

If you have ups mychoice you can confirm a 2 hour delivery window if you're willing to pay $5 extra. Didn't seem to be available yesterday but today it is.

Mine went from "by end of day" to simply, "9/21" - I'm guessing mine is by end of day since UPS is here around 5-7PM-ish usually.

Mine has said "by 10:30 am" for the last couple of days. FWIW, I spoke to my UPS guy last year while signing for my phone and asked him if he was going nuts with all of the iPhone craziness and he said that they were under instructions to try to get as many delivered as possible by 10:30 am because that was their service level guarantee and once 10:30 hit, the remainder would be delivered during the course of their normal deliveries, running their normal routes. Mine showed up between 10 and 10:15.

Sharp- Where do you choose the 2 hour window at? I am not seeing it.

Thanks

If you go to the tracking page and log into my choice you should see a button that says "Select a 2-hour delivery window" right under change delivery, request status updates, etc.

Mine is still "preparing for shipment".

(though it does say "Delivers 9/21 via Standard Shipping")

stop calling apple, stop calling ups, stop calling fedex and flooding the phone lines for stupid crap. just let the damn thing arrive when it arrives.

UPS is usually here around that late for me too, but for the iPhone deliveries they tend to come earlier, around 9AM. Same thing happened when I received my laptop.

some of you guys have to realize that it depends where your address is on their route. for example unless I am ordering to have it delivered by a specified time period, then most delivers usually come at same time.

I order online a lot I prefer Fedex bc their always at my house by 11am LATEST. Where as my address just happens to be last on this specific UPS driver's router and I receive packages around 4-6pm, I've had some come around 8pm
