Delivers on Oct 14/Ships by Oct 14

I notice all US orders are getting a "Delivers on Oct 14" message. I'm in the UK, and on my order confirmation is says Ships by Oct 14. What's up with that?

it said the same thing last year, dont worry you'll get it friday!

My order with Sprint actually says I'll receive my order in 2-5 business days, I don't think it will be here on Monday obviously. I think different companies say different things perhaps?

I just ordered from Verizon. Throughout the order process there was a "deliver by October 14" on the left side of the screen. When checking the order, though, it reads "ships October 14".

Probably just sloppy wording but we'll see.
