Delivery date Powermac Quad?

Anybody ordered the Powermac Quad?

What delivery date do you have? Has it changed?

Which graphicscard did you order?


Anybody else that knows anything about the Quad delivery date?

Wow, that is a really long time...

I don't like Apple's new online page to check the updates because it doesn't tell you the status of the order, just that mine is going to hopefully be shipped on or before the 17th...

i was yesterday at the bulington, ma apple store. i had its grand opening on nov 5th, 2 weeks after the release of the dual cores. they still don't have any dual cores in the shop. not even a 2.0 or 2.3.

i can understand them not having a quad demo yet. but the dual core 2.3 should be there by now!

i get the suspicion that ibm can't deliver enough chips again

The apple store in downtown Dallas has plenty of the dual-core systems, at least the 2.0s. Of course, they don't have the quad yet, but the others are there. So at least some stores have them. I messed with one on Friday.

January '06 is a ridiculous shipping estimate
they should at least try to deliver it before Christmas
some wealthy businessmen can arrange to buy a new private jet faster than that

that's one of the reasons that I'm not going to buy one until they are actually available....

by the time they start shipping en mass, there might be additional options.
