The 12 Pro is very popular and exceeded Apple's estimate of sales.
Currently many models are in backorder with Apple.com users reporting deliveries in December.
If you don't want to wait, check your local US Apple stores daily for incoming inventory of the 12 Pro.
I got lucky on launch day when my online order didn't make it in - I was able to grab the same phone I pre-ordered at a local Apple store near me on that same weekend.
I'll never pre-order - the stress and tension waiting for a delivery day was awful.
Now on it's my local Apple Store on launch day.....
NOTE: just received the online Apple order and sent her back for a refund....
