Delivery Exception, Fedex lies!

I just got notified of a delivery exception for my ipad.

My tracking says I was not home or business was closed which is total BS! I live in an apartment building (front door is unlocked). I went downstairs and asked if the front desk lady had left her desk at all and she said no. fedex did not leave a slip anywhere. wtf!

I had an order delivered for a new ipad this morning. No issues then..

Any suggestions on what to do? I asked for a redelivery but my gut says fedex went to the wrong building or never came at all.
 
Call FedEx and tell them you want it picked up. More likely than not, it will be at a pickup facility after 5pm.

So you had 1 order delivered and another 1 not delivered? Can you please speak english?
 
FedEx is the best!

Just received mine, it's the normal time I get the "before 10AM" delivery.

They're really reliable, sorry to hear you had an unusual problem.

They do that all the time (like when they can't find a parking place). Just call and demand the driver return with the package or have them hold it at the depot and pick it up. UPS does it as well, especially on the day before a holiday or a Friday. It's happened to me numerous times and I'm in a private home not an apartment.

Ahhh.. that is very possible. Parking is tough around here. I'll try for pick up

Yea sorry.. I went on a rant as I was pissed haha. Fedex delivered one of my ipads earlier this morning. The second one did not get delivered (delivery exception). First two fedex agents were unhelpful and just said sorry, we will try again Monday. I am on the phone now with someone who seems to be willing to help
 
received mine at 1030 this morning. im in va. thought i clicked business but it said residential. it's ok. doesn't matter, won't open it til 730 tonite when i get home :/ went to my husbands work

I am PISSED! I leave for a flight to Arizona today and I will be away from my family for the longest time in 8 years. I wanted the new iPad for movies and to Facetime with them. Now I will have my crappy little phone and that's it. I have to be AT the airport at 5:30PM.

Apple said "delivers by the 16th" and I won't get it until the 17th most likely. Very frustrated. I know I am cutting it close but for FedEx to delay an entire day is NOT acceptable.
 
Finally got to the bottom of this. Fedex delivered it to the wrong address! They are trying to retrieve it... I do not have a good feeling about this
 
Mine just got pushed to by 8pm today! WTF

Anyone complain to Apple about this and get a free smart cover?

Lol, just wait man. It's not going to be delivered exactly at 8pm. There are plenty of people getting theirs at their usual delivery time.

Do you have time to go to an Apple store? I am reading that there were not many lines, they may possibly have one in stock. If so you could just buy it and return the one sent to you when you get a chance.

I know it will be here; but being pushed back to 8pm, I don't think it will arrive by 3pm as originally scheduled.

It's just a bit annoying when my friend who lives literally ~2miles from me had his delivered several hours ago.

What you're seeing is that FedEx moved all of the iPad delivery dates to 7:30 PM or later. It may come sooner and it may not.

Sounds like ours are in the same facility. Here's where mine stands:

Destination: BELLEVUE, WA
Estimated delivery: Mar 17, 2012 by 3:00 PM

Mar 16, 2012 8:00 AM - Delivery exception - ISSAQUAH, WA - Future delivery requested
Mar 16, 2012 7:23 AM - At local FedEx facility - ISSAQUAH, WA

At least yours is on a vehicle, I'm sure they'll get delivered today, maybe just after 3PM (but their system is probably designed to display that as tomorrow by 3PM).

Mine's right with this, got the out for delivery, then an exception and changed to tomorrow.

What's even funnier is that he's going on a trip to see spring training baseball. First world problems indeed. His family must mean mom and dad, because there is no way a woman married him and had his children. I hope he keeps posting though, he's entertaining the hell out of me.
