If Apple do pre-orders for the iPad 2 in the UK would I get it on launch day? The last time I pre-ordered something from Apple was Snow Leopard and I got that several days after launch.

I want to get the iPad 2 as close to launch day as possible, so my question is; should I go in store or have it delivered.

Also what happens if you miss the delivery? Is there reattempted delivery or is it taken to a local post office or returned to the depot?

Apple use UPS for delivery of high priced items. A we missed you card would be left and they would attempt redelivery the next day.

I've had good experiences with Apple delivering on time in the UK in the past, and if you are out, as said - they will rearrange a delivery. Maybe if you REALLY want it on launch day you should pre-order for in-store collection, but going for the delivery option should be fine!

If they offer it for in store collection then I will do that.

Thanks for the replies.
