I posted this in another thread but don't think it's gonna get an answer. Appreciate any help guys.

I'm at school and live in an apartment complex where the main office accepts all the packages and then the tenants come pick them up when convenient.

I'll most likely be sitting in my window staring down, waiting for the delivery truck to show up and greet him as soon as he steps out, but in the off chance I'm not there for a few minutes and it comes then, will the office still take the package even though it requires a signature from me? I don't think I really trust the people down there if they know what it contains..

they just need a signature from the delivery address doesnt have to be you... so yes they will drop it off to office good luck :)

What did they do the last time you got a package? It seems odd to me that you would ask a website about your very own apartment. I suggest that you go down to the rental office and ask. Just say that you are receiving a package and what is the procedure? Or two ask the mailman?

maybe let the office know you're expecting a package and leave a hand-written note with signature stating you release it to the person at the main office

I've only been here a month or so and never gotten a package that required a signature. And I know it's not the only place where the office takes the packages.

I just want to make sure I'm not going to be stuck waiting until the end of the day to go pick it up at the distribution center or waiting until the next day. I'll go ask them and make sure.

How in the world would anyone here know the policy at YOUR apartment complex. By the way, this is just another package. Nothing special.

I'm sure it will be fine. The doorman where I live signs for everything and then I pick it up when I get home from work. They have never given him an issue about who signs.

Last year I left a note on my door for the UPS guy instructing him to deliver my iPhone 4S to the apartment office if he didn't get and answer at my door. It was successfully delivered while I was at work and I ws able to pick it up from my apartment office later.

This year I just decided to have it shipped to my work office.

if you dont receive it and ups/fedex says its delivered, you call them and they tell u the name of the person who signed for it then you call your management of the complex and complain... la la la laaa

i hope the person that they deliver it to takes it and gives them a fake name! thats what u get for being such a scared BI*CH over a god damn phone!

The office at my apartment complex will sign for packages and hold them until I pick them up. Unfortunately, that's entirely up to the driver. Most of,the time I have no problems. But the I'll get a driver who's too lazy and just leaves a note that they'll come back the next business day. I then have to leave a note begging them to take it to the office if I'm not there the next try.

With the 4S, I thought it wouldn't come until later. I stepped out early to walk over to my Aunt's apartment to visit her along with my parents and nephew. I got back before 10 AM and had just missed them by 15 minutes. The 800 number for UPS was worthless, all they'll do is arrange for your local hub to call and set up an after hours appointment. No good for me since I work nights. Fortunately, when my local hub called me, I was able to persuade her to call the driver and arrange a same day second attempt.

With my the new iPad, I took the day off. Good thing, because I'd've been at work when it arrived. I was waiting in the couch when the buzzer rang. I hopped up and went down the hall to the front door. The guy was already writing his ticket for a missed attempt.

I mean I'm not really trying to get my $694 phone stolen....

By the way, I called UPS and the lady said that they will NOT deliver to an office. The actual person has to be there and sign for it.

If I were you I'd promptly exchange your new iPhone 5 for a set of balls. Preferably right after the UPS guys exits his truck but BEFORE he gets to the delivery office, that way you can ensure the phone is yours.

Yet you still don't think your tenant services people will be able to give you a better answer than people that have never been to your place before? Interesting...

If I were you, I'd quit *****ing on everyone else and go on about your business if you don't have anything good to contribute to this forum.

No, they don't have any answers. They are a bunch of college kids that management has working there and they have no idea what they're talking about.

I get UPS orders all the time at my apartment. Always gts delivered to the office.

I hope this is the case this time as I have to work!
