Delivery route - shanghai to uk

Hello everyone.
I ordered on Friday 19th April, a MBP (non retina) i7, with an upgraded RAM from 4gb to 8gb. (my first mac, so excited)
There have been a lot of posts on odd delivery routes, but I can't find any recent posts regarding the situation so I was wondering if there had been any change since then.
The shipping process started yesterday morning from shanghai. Here's what I have so far.

I've read other posts about shipping (admittedly a few years old) and the next stop on theirs has been Almaty - Kazakhstan, then Poland, then Germany.
When I ordered this, the woman assured me it would be here on Friday (I literally NEED it by then for coursework deadline issues) and she said at the latest Monday. I reallllllly need and want it by Friday (tomorrow). I was just wondering if anyone had recently purchased anything that shipped from shanghai to uk?

Yeah, bought an iPad Mini that came from Shanghai. Shipping times on the Apple Store said 2 weeks and it arrived in 2 weeks. What did it say about shipping time when you ordered it? Mine went from China to Schipol Airport, Holland and then to the Apple distribution centre near Leicester (I think).

all they said was that it would be here by either friday 26th or monday 29th. the UPS website says it's expected to be delivered on the monday. but when I rang apple yesterday, they said to expect it on friday.
the funny thing is when ordering we asked to have express delivery (which the woman said would ensure it's delivery for friday) when I spoke to a different person yesterday, they said they didn't do express delivery for MBP!
