Delivery time for customized 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro

I am likely buying a customized 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro but I need the computer no later than July 9, and it is now showing dates of July 8-10. Has anyone ever gotten a customized mac near the low end or the high end of those dates? And also have apples shipping estimates for customized macs ever been wrong?

The configuration I want is a 3.0GHz 8GB RAM 512GB Flash Storage 13 inch Retina MacBook Pro.

The last time that I custom ordered from Apple (about 18 months ago), I had it in about 5 days. I guess it depends on whether or not they have your desired configuration already to go. You could always call them and ask.

That version is available as a refurb for $1869...Have you thought about getting that???

The delivery dates have not changed. Also, doesn't apple sell this model in their retail stores known as the "ultimate" model? If so, wouldn't they just have those in their warehouse ready to ship?

I won't be here to receive it on July 10 so I need to have it before then.
