First, a word of good news for people. My 15", 7200RPM 2.6 MBP BTO shipped on Friday from China with an estimated delivery of Wed 10:30am. It arrived in SF Bay Area this morning (Monday) at 8:30 am. Love it!

Second, a question for people. This is my first MBP. Everything seems to work fine except that whenever the unit is powered up or comes out of sleep, the CD Rom drive makes a pretty loud noise (like it's trying to read to see if there is a disk in there). It's not too bad, I just wanted to make sure nothing is wrong with my unit. Thanks for the feedback!

Yea the drive usually makes a weird sound when starting up or waking up from a sleep. If you leave a disc in there then it spins up and actually makes less noise. haha.. weird. Its normal tho. Congratulations on the new MBP.
