Hi all,

Been lurking for a while while deciding what to get for my first Mac in 12 years but thought I’d sign up to join in!!

I’ve ordered an M1 MBA but asked for extra RAM and Storage to be built in, and was given a delivery estimate of 4-5 weeks. How accurate are these delivery estimates from Apple? Are they pretty close or do they tend to play on the safe side? If it helps, I’m in the UK.

Just trying to find out when I’m likely to receive my new MacBook!

That sounds about right. I got my M1 MBA back in Nov through BB (8/512) and it took a week for me to receive it. I believe the timeframes are longer now, though.

Thanks. Forgot to say, it’s an 8/16/1TB model I’ve ordered. Ordered 17/01 with estimated delivery of 10-17/02

Apple tend to play it safe, also the configuration that you have ordered is one that they also stock in store, while due to covid restrictions they have stopped ’click and collect’, hopefully you have a greater chance of getting it slightly sooner. Yours is the same Spec as mine. It’s a silent rocket, best Mac I have owned, your going to love it.

I ordered a 16/512 MBA as a replacement for a MBP I had to send back for a hardware problem.
Ordered on 4/1/21 and I still don't even have an estimated date yet. It just shows 3 - 4 weeks but that's for shipping, not receiving.
Still processing.
