Dell 20" 2005FPW only $434 now!

Still holding out for the 30-35% off LCD coupon codes that Dell used to throw out every other week. You'd think after their numbers tanked last quarter, they'd really cut prices on these for the Xmas season.
 
You can get the 434 price with a 25-45 dollar off coupon. I bought one for 434-45+tax the other day.
 
You guys better return it if you just bought one. Dell just threw out their 100 off of 500 coupon, lcd is down to 334 shipped!

I entered this coupon code and its not giving me the discount. Says something bout needing additional info or not meeting eeligibility requirements.

Any help would be appreciated.
 
I just bought ANOTHER one! For nearly half the price of my original! And I have no use for it! AM I MAD!?

Well, I have a few friends interested in buying it when they have money. And I can always sell it on eBay for a decent amount more than what I bought it for.

Anyone who hasn't tried one of these badboys and can't decide: they are incredible. I work on Apple's 20" at work, and I like my Dell Ultrasharp Widescreen better. Just FYI.

Hmm, now when I enter that (on the business site) I get a pop up saying that the coupon has previously been redeemed - I got that coupon from XPBargains.

Although it didn't say so in this case, Dell coupons normally have a limited number (e.g. 2000) of uses, so you may have been unlucky with this one.

That's part of their problem. They've cut prices so much, that even with high sales, they're not making as much money as expected (by the way, their numbers didn't tank, they were up on the previous quarter. They just didn't make the predicted profits)
 
Unless I'm mistaken (and I sincerely hope that I am), these coupons / discounts are only valid for US residents, aye? :( Damn the Great White North! :cool:
 
Gahh, I missed the $100 off!

I might get this anyway. $434 for a 20.1 widescreen is cheap.....

And nuts to those of you who got it cheaper!:mad: :rolleyes: ;) :D

Well, I ordered one last night...impulse purchase.

Reviews of the 2005FPW complained about some questionable backlighting, but good brightness and contrast. We have dozens of Dell flat panels at work, and the only ones I've had quality problems with so far are the cheap 15" and 17" displays, so I gave this one a go.

It is cheaper than the 19" screens I was looking at so I'm selling out to the bottom line. :eek:

I really want to ditch my CRT so as long as this is even merely a decent display it will be a big improvement.
 
I got one with a bad backlight. Two of the corners are much brighter than the rest of the screen. So dell has a new one on the way, and hopefully it will be better.

This is the main issue I've heard of with the 2005FPW. Mine shipped yesterday, so I'm praying that when it shows up it is a good one.
