dell 2005FPW connection to macbook

Sorry if this is obvious.

I am a switcher and just got the loaded macbook for college and found the screen to be too small so I bought a Dell 2005FPW.

My question is what is the best way to connect my MB to my new screen? Do I need an adapter, if so which?

Apple sells in-store a macbook mini-DVI to DVI adaptor that will let you hook up your DVI cable that came with your 2005FPW.

It's $19.95.
