So I've had this monitor for a few years now, and it's always worked great. Recently though it won't connect to my MacBook Pros (personal one and my work one) using the DisplayPart to MiniDP cable. I even tried buying a new one and still no luck.

It connects via HDMI, but only at 30Mhz. Anyone know what might be causing this issue?

Thanks.

Replying to my own thread.

After a week of searching for answers, I found a solution! For whatever reason, my MacBook Pro won't detect a Displayport Cable, but has no problem with an HDMI cable. Only problem is HDMI goes through at 30hz.

I purchased an HDMI -> Mini Display Port adapter that can handle 4k at 60hz and it's working great now.

Just incase anyone else has the same problem.

An important question:
What YEAR is the MacBook Pro?

Some USB-c to displayport cables will work with 2016 MBP's, but WILL NOT WORK with 2017/18 models.
Depends on the cable.

The way to overcome this is to use a "known good" cable that DOES work with 2017/18 models...

I am actually on a 2015 MacBook Pro, so I needed a HDMI -> Thunderbolt/MiniDP adapter.
