Dell 3007wfp and my 2010 MBP issue

Hey guys,

I am using a friends Dell 3007-wfp display with my Macbook Pro (6.2) and I am having some strange things happen.

In certain applications, parts of the screen flicker red and green dots. It happens only on the Dell monitor, if I drag the window over to my native screen they disappear. I have the graphics switching disabled, so it's always the nvidia card. Anybody else experience something like this?

I had a similar problem once when plugging my Xbox 360 to my Dell 2407WFP with an HDMI cable and DVI adapter. The screen flickered and there were always green and purple noise everywhere over the screen. My HDMI cable was the problem. It had the problem only while in 1080p (720p was fine). I changed the cable and everything was fine after. I'm not sure that will solve your problem but try using a different cable and see if it works.

Yeah I should try that as my DVI cable was one from radioshack, a cheapy.
