But because the Dell device used an audio format that compresses digital music files more efficiently, Dell asserted it could hold up to 220 songs -- 100 more than the Shuffle. The 512 megabyte Shuffle now retails for $69, with a one gigabyte model for $99.

I noticed that Target's advertisement this week had a new Samsung player about the size of a shuffle.

You should do a google/YouTube search for the video ads for the ditty. Those are really bad. I cringed watching them in our Uni's Professional Practices Design class.

To Michael Dell...

Another one bites the dust...but look out, now here comes Zune. And unlike Dell, M$ has the money and market power to keep pushing its schlockware until it gets some traction.

We will see what happens, but I have a feeling that Zune may very well follow in the footsteps of the Dell DJ Ditty (hopefully anyway). :)

that ad really gives amateur filmakers a bad name!

Yes, I bet they even paid nearly $500 + a free a DJ Ditty.
