DELL E248WFP Drivers so brightness works on keyboard

I don't like having to press the buttons on the monitor and going into settings to change the brightness and contrast.

Currently, the brightness/contrast buttons don't work on my Apple keyboard.

How can I get them to work?

someone who wants to have their brightness up/down keys on their Apple keyboard functioning properly.

I'm pretty sure you need a USB connection to the monitor in order for that to work. I don't think brightness up and down events like that can be sent through DVI.

I could be wrong.
