Hi,
I have just purchased and set up a dell s2340l monitor to use as an additional display with my rMBP. The colours between the two monitors look very different. No matter how many times i've tried to fine tune the colour settings, i still can't get it right... any tips?

'the dell monitor makes the whites look a little yellow and the grey/silver OSX theme is noticeably yellower on the monitor'

Thanks,

Lewis

Did you use both the push button menus on the monitor and through the osx software display calibration? If you did both its weird that you couldn't match them. It looks like the dell monitor needs to shift towards blue to match the MBP screen. P.S. how do you like the monitor? I'm considering getting the 2340m version.

Yeah I tried both, its just a bit of a logic fail for me, can't seem to work out which combination works best.

And the monitor is fantastic, I've got it hooked into a HDMI splitter so I can have the mac, xbox and wii u all plugged in. OSX looks great on it too, I was originally considering the matte hp 23xi but decided on the dell through previous good experiences.

That being said, the first one that arrived had a massive row of dead pixels! So definitely order from a site or shop with good customer service and short delivery times in case you experience the same problem.
