Dell monitor for 13" 2017 macbook pro

I have a $100 credit with Dell I'm looking to use. Originally wanted to go fancy and get a USB-C monitor to have less cables but have read that Dell usb-c monitors don't work well with Macbook Pro. Also these monitors tend to be over $300. Dell sells a lot of monitors and I was looking at a basic 20-24" model. Is there anything specific I should be looking for? Really confused by all of the options. Will this one work well for $99?

Depends on your usage (office work/gaming/photo editing?), but for $99 it seems fine for an IPS monitor, but the maximum brightness (250 cd/m²) is not suitable for bright rooms.

Yeah, Dell has so many monitors that it would be pure luck to find someone who has a specific Dell device working with precisely your MBP... FWIW, I have had a Dell UP2414Q working well with my early 2015 MBP 13", connected via Thunderbolt 2 to Displayport cable (cable not by Apple).

As far as I understand Dell, they won't commit to guaranteeing that their devices work with Macs, but many people use Macs with Dells. As your intended monitor is full HD and not a very high resolution, chances are good that it will work. HiRes could be trickier.

As Cubix writes, your usage is the main point. But in general, the mentioned device should do a good job for $99 (or, in your case, for $-1).

Dell U2520D. A bit more expansive but you get Ultrasharp quality. It has very good reviews. I always had Ultrasharp in the last 15 years. Always great monitors. Still run a 2013 and 2014 model.
