Hi all

I have a Dell p2415Q and MacBook Pro 13" 2017 but for weird reason it doesn't work

I had a MBP 15" 2016 and that worked fine with my USB-C > Mini Display port cable but I have now sold that and gone down to a 13" 2017 which doesn't work

I also tested with a iMac 27" 2017 and that didn't work

I just get no display / signal

Could someone please help

Try a different cable/adapter.

FWIW we use Dell U2715 monitors. They are sensitive to the quality of the signal and cables. We installed one on a system yesterday and could not get it to work at it's full 2560 X 1440 resolution. We loaded new drivers (windows machine), etc.. Finally we swapped the HDMI cable for a newer cable. Boom. It immediately worked at full resolution.

There's even stories of USB-C to USB-C cables only working in one particular direction for data transfer - which, according to spec, is absolutely nonsensical. But it happens.
