So, i have a mini 2018 and a Dell P2415Q, 24"4K. It's using 1080 in retina mode, looks really well proportioned and perfect sharp for my eyes. However it was quite expensive and i found an used LG 24UD58 24"4K monitor much cheaper...i can return the Dell and get the LG. Which monitor do you recommend between the Dell and LG?

Also found a 27"4K LG, used, but i'm not sure how 1080p would look on the 27" screen, can anyone with a 27" please post a fullscreen screenshot of their desktop to check size and sharpness?

Thanks!

Bump, really no-one with a 27" 4K screen that can post a full desktop screenshot?! (with some windows open duhh, like safari, about this mac, etc..)

LG 24UD58 has angular bezels from glossy plastic which results in screen being reflected in the bezels around the screen, very distracting. Also no USB hub (which might be important as Dell has one).

27 inch 4K - all UI elements will be huge (in 1080p retina mode), if your eyesight is not so good or you sit further back from your display this might be a plus, otherwise I do not recommend.

I would keep the Dell, better stand, quality, and much better warranty (3yr advanced exchange)

I have the Dell P2715q 4K and love it. Thinking of pairing it with a mac mini for coding purposes soon.

Any reason why you wouldnt run your setup in 4K and run it as 1080p instead?
