Hey guys, so I just got the Dell P2715Q and have it connected to a late 2013 MacBook Pro 13'. The Mini DP didn't give a 4K resolution but HDMI does give the option of 4K at 30hz. The thing is that at the 3840 x 2160 resolution everything is tiny, so I'd like to set it to 2560 x 1440 but it becomes "low resolution".

All the resolutions between 3840 x 2169 and 1920 x 1980 are "low resolution". 1920 is sharp but everything is too big. I'm thinking about getting a Mac Pro and wondering if I would be able to get high resolution and any res between 3840 and 1920?

Or is there some sort of a work around to get the display to be sharp at 2560?

Thanks guys!

there aren't any other hdpi options for the 13" retina other than 1080p, 720p etc. the mac pro however can do several different hidpi scaled resolutions.

I know it's years later... but physically (cabling) how did you connect the two HP 4K monitors to the MacBook Pro?
