So I am currently using an Apple 27" Thunderbolt MC914LL/A monitor with my 16" MBP via TB3-TB2 adapter.

How does this new Dell P2720DC monitor that has the same resolution perform against the Apple display ?
Will I get the full 2560x1440 resolution using the TB3 port ?

I know in my case that I would have to get a separate Apple dongle adapter for Ethernet, but other than that I would give up my Firewire 800 port which has a LaCie external HDD...

Using the Dell, I would lose the TB3-TB adapter and go straight into the Dell's USB-C port...

For $359 from Dell, I thought I'd ask the community...

Those two displays are comparable and looking at specs the Dell might be even slightly inferior to the Thunderbolt Display. Neither of them come close to modern alternatives that support wider colors and have better brightness.

I wouldn't spend the money on it. Sure, you won't need the dongle anymore and the display will charge your laptop (only at 65W though), but is it worth the money for you?
