I've been waiting for nVidia ION to hit the netbooks, and it has with the introduction of the HP Mini 311. But the base price is 400 bucks, and I could get a Dell Studio 14z with a Core 2 Duo VS. an Intel Atom, the same graphics chip, 3 GBs of RAM VS 1 GBs, 320 GB HD vs. 160 GB, and a full sized keyboard and slightly bigger screen for only 120 dollars more. The thing that I like about netbooks/the Dell 14z is they are both extremely portable and offer good battery life. The HP Mini 311 is supposed to offer 6 hours while the Dell 14z is supposed to offer 5.
The thing is, while I do get a free upgrade to Windows 7 when I get it, if I decide I don't like it, is it possible to downgrade to Windows XP? Would all the drivers work? Is it easy? Thanks.
