Hi all,

I have just got a Dell u2410 monitor to go with with a brand new Macbook Pro 15 inch hi-res antiglare model.

I am connecting with mini display port to DVI.
The dock icons etc on the Dell screen and the desktop look great and playing back a Youtube hi def video is fine.

However - the text of webpages and documents etc is not razor sharp.
Can anyone offer any help on this - are there any settings I can adjust??

Thanks
Ian

Dell U2410 doesn't work well with 2010 Macbook Air

I just purchased a Macbook Air and am having the same problem with my Dell U2410. It worked fine with my 1st Gen Intel MacBook pro. I've tried every resolution that is offered but can't find any where the text isn't blurry. Any help here would be great.

I connected my Macbook Air to a 23" Samsung LED monitor and it worked great.

There is actually a terminal command, I think, to fix what you're talking about. Something about subpixel rendering or aliasing? I can't remember off the top of my head, but there's a thread about it somewhere in the MR forums.
