In the manuals I can find that the BC1.2 charging ports output "2A max" but can't find anything about voltage, or wattage directly, that can come out of those ports. I wanted to confirm if it was capable of charging a macbook pro 2017 15", even slowly, but with just amperage numbers I can't calculate it.

I read the same as you did. However, I don't believe I would depend on the monitor's USB 3 Hub to provide constant power to charge a 15" MacBook Pro. Just multiply 5V by 2A (P=EI) to get the approximate wattage. It should be around 10W.
