Dell u4021qw + Macbook Pro M4

Hey guy - I am a little desperate; I would like to buy a the new Macbook Pro with M4 Pro - currently I'm using a Dell U4021QW 5k2k monitor and I've read several articles (i.e. at 9to5mac) that my current resolution which 3840 x 1620 is allegedly not working with M4 - because of HiDPI, which is currently not supported by the new M4 cpus.

So I am eagerly searching for someone who owns an Apple Device with M4 and a Dell U4021QW monitor telling me that my preferred resolution is working properly.

That's a pretty specific setup, so it's not surprising you aren't getting a response.

Just an FYI: I have an LG 34" 5k/2k screen that is currently running at 3840x1620 HiDPI. Grab a copy of RDM (Free) to open up a bunch of resolutions that just don't show in the macOS System Settings.

The M4 (all variations) don't work with U4021QW. It doesn't give 3840x2160 at HiDPI.

For some odd reason, the only 5k2k monitor that runs at 3840x2160 HiDPI is the newest U4025QW. There is a long thread here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/5k2k-at-120hz-with-mac-mini-m4.2441289/page-19
