1 Ghz Snapdragon processor
8 MP autofocus camera LED flash
Android 2.1
Dell Stage UI
Flash 10.1
AT&T Q4 2010

Dell is not known for their design

But its hard to deny this thing looks damn sexy

If Apple came out with this design first, I'm sure most here would be doing back flips

The industry is going for larger screens

C'mon Apple step it up

I do like it as well

Is it a custom os though?

Just custom UI for Android, much like HTC has their Sense UI.

If it slows down updates (like Sense does) I'm sadly not interested. Fantastic design but the customized Android UI may lead to delayed updates.

The HTC Hero is still on Android 1.5 which is why I swapped it for the N1. I'd love the form factor and hardware with a stock Android build.

Looks nice, could be a contender for my next phone when my contract runs out Q4. However i am from the UK could this mean we wait the usual month or two after like usual?

Updates are slowed down anyway even if you have stock Android. We droid users got the 2.1 update like 4 months after it was already out. Google only bothers to update on time their latest phone, whatever that phone may be at a point in time. Everyone else gets to wait.

I'd throw my money at apple if this was the new iphone design..

Look really FAT to me, I really don't like the thinkness of it, that is what I love about my iPhone. Nothing much about the OS, that's the most important part.

Oh...hmm....Flash eh? Despite Apple banning it anywhere it can, it hasn't diminished the usage of Flash at all. I wonder if it's time to start rethinking my strategy since there's no chance Apple will rethink it's failing strategy? We'll see.

Three things I don't like.

1. Huge amount of wasted space above and below the screen. This phone is going to be huge because of that. It's a 4 inch screen with THAT much space above and below...ughh! FACE PALM!

2. It looks too thick! Will probably be too heavy as well. DOH!

3. Dell's custom UI? I am not sure I would want to be the first test user of Dell's UI. It takes multiple versions of a UI to get rid of all the clunks and bugs.. HTC has been at this for a while. Dell has not.

With that said, the phone looks amazing. It beautiful as could be. Just needs to be a little more refined.
