I have a Dell XPS for two years...Awhile ago I contacted Dell as they did not send a disk to program a fancy keyboard (Function Keys)..anyways, instead they had sent me a new XP-Pro operating system disk..Nice sealed package but it wasn't what I needed...Now two years later I have a Mac Pro (bought yesterday !!!) and I would like to use that Dell XP-Pro disk for Bootcamp/VMfusion ...Is there any issues both functionality and legally..??

If it's OEM software than it is supposed to be used ONLY on the system for which it was provided. In this case, your Dell. It will say so in the EULA.

Is it legal to install? Fundamentally, yes, as installation will be a violation of that EULA.

Will it work? More than likely it will. Are you ok with using it anyway? That's for you to decide.

I don't have any problems with it....But if I sell my Dell than it would no longer be legit, so I guess if I want it bad enough Ill go get it...or just try Crossover
