Dell2408WFP $349 good deal?

Doing monitor search for my new macbook pro 17 inch for more screen space. found that deal for Dell at Staple clearance price. Is this deal because they are making room for a new model of the 24 inch dell (ie 09 version)? If so anyone know what will be the difference.? Is there new technology and speed difference I should know about that would cause me to want to get and spend more on a newer monitor?

If I am going to by something new, I prefer the "latest and greatest!" (technology wise) Thanks for the help!
 
Money Wise, thats a great deal, for an amazing monitor.

As for updates, who knows?

Thanks for the reply matt. So if you were in my position would you buy this monitor or buy one with better, updated specs?

well im going to be buying it for around £400 ($580) soon, so hell yes, i would be down there with my money as soon as i found out.

Matt you can order it online through staples but not sure they ship intentionally! Now I said this I better go get mine before there is a run on them! :D

Shipping would be atleast $100, and i doubt they do, would do if the exchange rate hadnt died (£1 = $2 again please :p)

Just talk to the sales guy at staple and he said if cannot find online then it is an in store clearance and have to go an buy at the store or order from them at the store. He would not let me order over phone even.

correct montitor and price Dell S2409w

talked to the store guy again to confirm before i drove over there and had him read off the # and is actually Dell S2409w which is not near as good of deal!

1900 x 1080 for one. Not many post for another

NOw what? I found the 2408wfp on dell for 550 any better deals than this?

I Guessed as much.

The 2408WFP is such a good screen, its worth the $550.

You could wait until Dell have one of there many sales, or if it pops up in refurb section.

I just orderd from dell for $550! :) Won't be here until 3/6 thoughc:mad:

Looks like my Macbook pro will beat it here. that is suppose to ship on 3/2

Been waiting 2 months for that one!
