For the first time ever, Verizon is now selling the APPLE WATCH. It makes sense since LTE is involved and the carriers can make 10.00 more a month off of this feature from folks who opt for that version. Details on the website aren't clear and we probably won't know until tonight/tomorrow whether this is possible BUT>>>>>

If folks can "lease" the APPLE WATCH through carriers, sales will skyrocket. There is a large segment of the population who can't afford to pay upfront $500.00 for an apple watch, yet these same folks have IPHONES and IPADS and in many cases multiples of each in their home? How is this possible? Howe can you afford a $1,200 lPAD and $1,000 phone and not a 400-500 watch?

SIMPLY PUT!!!

They can take a 1,000 dollar phone and $1,200 IPAD and spread the payments out over two years and all they need to do is make sure they pay their cell phone bill on time. Unlike best buy credit cards etc. that require credit checks, most telecommunications companies run a credit check when you start service and never again as long as you have paid on time, every time with them and never been non pay disconnected.

The aforementioned is why you have probably heard this phrase "they can't afford______________ but by golly they have IPHONES and IPADS" usually that statement is meant with vitriol to the intended target. When the subsidy game ended and the lease game started, it was for one reason. In order to sell more phones they needed to get them in the hands of people across all socioeconomic demographics not just the "middle class" or the "1 percent". Lease options achieved this. Adding this option to the watch is a win for the carriers and for Apple. Albeit, it may be a detriment to those that really lack the disposable income for such a purchase, but hey, that's the free market system.

If Verizon and other carriers allow Apple Watches to be "leased" over a year or two years, mark my words, sales will go through the roof and the LTE variant of this will be hard to find.

Just a thought/observation.
