demo units in stores?

probably a stupid question but when does apple normally get demo units for the the new iphones in stores? I have normally bought mine a couple months after launch date so its never really come up for me before. Reason is I'm not sold yet and wanted to check one out first (so does the wife, she's sold already however haha). Any help is greatly appreciated.

neither will I haha, looks like I will be waiting again, I just wasn't sure if they put them on display before launch date so you could try em out.

Apple Retail Stores the 21st but you have to wait in line to see them on launch day.

Yep. Launch day. If possible, avoid an Apple store that weekend. Lol. That's why I'm getting my iPhone at an Att store because the lines will be way smaller and there's a billion att stores around here.
