Demuxing flv files

I'm looking for an app that wil demux flv files into its seperate audio and video.

Barring that, what recommendations for straight transcoding, rather than converting, to mp4? Handbrake maybe?

Transcoding is the same as "converting", as the source video and audio gets converted to another format, often leading to another codec for video and audio. Handbrake will transcode the video and audio too.
Maybe have a look at MPEG Streamclip to split audio from video, but transcoding is involved in this too.

The 'Save Track' option doesn't involve transcoding, but it may involve rewrapping.

You mean the "Save As... (⌘S)" menu in the File menu, where one can choose what container to use?

Thanks..rewrapping is what I'm looking to do if I can't actually demux.

Further down the File menu there's a 'Save Track'. I'm running the 1.9.3 beta — this function hasn't always been there.
