I know, this may sound weird, but it is true. I was walking to another room while holding my MacBook (it was open). Then, all of a sudden I heard a pop. I set my Mac down and noticed a dent near the track pad. Would Apple Care cover this? I cannot believe the aluminum would dent after holding the MacBook a certain way...

"Avoid holding it in that way."

In all seriousness, I'm not sure. They might just consider it accidental damage; if you're a one-off case I can't see you convincing them it's an inherent flaw. If you'll be near an Apple store it's worth a try.

How strong is your grip? :D
I don't think apple care would cover this, they would probably say 'you caused it'

Did you love it and hug it and call it George?

HAHA I'm loving the jokes. BUT this is true. I have no idea how it happened. It's not a huge dent or anything...

I don't doubt it. Perhaps your shell just had a slight imperfection in it and you hit it in the right spot. I've seen crazier things happen.
