Dent on Refurbished Macbook

Hi guys
Yesterday a piece of my ref Macbook fell apart.
Do you know if this is covered by the warranty? I purchased this Mac back in April and was planning to keep it for 3 years but this has happened after 6 months I wonder how will i get to 3 yrs!!!!
I did not drop the laptop nor had bad care.
What's your opinion?

Well known issue. Do a MRoogle search. They should fix the case but get it in fast. After 12 months they can give you a hard time (or not depending.)

That is not a dent its a crack caused by the foot on the top of the screen.

This seems to happen if you close your laptop too hard or if too much pressure gets applied to the top of the computer when its closed.

It is a known issue with all plastic MacBooks.

Just bring it in to the closest apple store, as of now they continue to replace the top case when this happens even after the warranty expires.

Its a bit of a hassle but its nice getting a new trackpad/keyboard every year, for me at least because this has happened to mine twice in the two years I've owned mine.

I booked the Genius bar this Monday at 6. The Apple guy who did the booking for me saw the crack and told he knows about this stuff and said they will sort it out for me.
Hope so!
Will let the Forum know if this is happy ending.

Hi Chaps
Just to let you know that Apple repaired my Macbook in 24hrs free of charge!
They will also repair the one of my gf who is out of warranty still for free.
Go Apple Store go!!!
